Meet our Staff

Mica is a technician at Santa Clara Pet Hospital and joined our team in 1991.  Her family includes a white-capped pionus named Pie and Tiger Lily the cat.  She thoroughly enjoys working with all types of animals, but especially loves working with parrots and the people who love them. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, and traveling. 

Julie joined Santa Clara Pet Hospital in 1991. She left for a few years to work in human medicine but came back to us in 2002. Her family includes Pele a chihuahua mix, three cats named Woody, Buffy, and Puma and pet chickens. You can meet Julie in the front office, greeting clients and also working directly with the patients in the treatment areas.

 

 

 

Andrea is one of our receptionists and joined our team in March of 1994. She lives with her two cats Rockit and Ollie, three box turtles, and a sulcatta tortoise.  Andrea enjoys running, scrape booking, and cooking.

 

Rachael was a client with her three birds before joining our team.  She has been working with us since April 2002.  Her three cockatoos are named Karma, Merlin, and Charisma.  She loves spending time with her birds, cooking and watching NFL football. 

 

 

Julie  joined Santa Clara Pet Hospital in February 2001.  She is owned by her dogs Gina and Indy (Anna).  She also has a cockatiel named Summer and a tortoise named Benji.  Julie enjoys spending time with her family and doing assorted craft projects. 

Lauren is a technician at Santa Clara Pet Hospital who has been with us since 2001. Her pets include Kaiser, a Doberman Pinscher, and Lieutenant Dan, a Bearded Dragon. Lauren enjoys cars and all things outdoors. 

 



 

Dana felt that she found her dream job when she joined us January 1998.  She is our morning kennel attendant.  She is a lover of dogs, cats and all things furry.  She has her own two furry cats named Porto and Baby whom she adopted through the pet hospital shortly after starting here.  She is a big fan of baseball, especially the San Francisco Giants. 

Paul Newman a.k.a. Newman joined our team in June 2001.  He was a cat on the streets until a kind client brought him into the clinic for an abscess.  He showed us his great personality and we couldn't let him go back on the streets.  He enjoys sleeping, looking at the interesting pets, eating, and sleeping more.  His jobs include looking cute, donating blood, and showing clients how to give kitty pills (with a tech of course.)
